Chester Employee Takes To The Sky For Charity Jump

The sky's the limit for Chester ACF Car Finance Limited employee, Jane Whittle, after completing a 14,000 ft tandem sky dive for charity.

Jane, who is raising money for BEN, the automotive and partner industries' own charity, completed the sky dive on Sunday 14 June at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, near Lancaster, raising just under £1,000.

Daredevil, Jane, who is originally from Bolton, has already got her career off to a flying start after securing promotion to Marketing Manager at just 24-years of age. Her flair for marketing has also led to her covering the same duties temporarily for the other group companies including The Funding Corporation Limited, Red2Black Collections Limited and I.M. Financial Services Limited.

Jane commented: "I'm thrilled to have completed my first ever sky dive for charity. I was due to complete the jump on Sunday 6 June, but due to inclement weather conditions it was cancelled and I finally managed to do the jump on Sunday 14 June. There was a catch though; the sky dive was not the original 12,000 ft but 14,000 ft instead. The extra 2,000 ft was quite a long way, but I loved every minute of it and would definitely do it again.

BEN is the automotive and partner industries' own charity, which offers help, support, financial assistance and advice to over 15,000 people in their own homes every year. The fund also provides a home to over 350 disabled and elderly people in one of four nursing and residential centres. Any individual who works or has worked in one of the industries BEN encompasses is eligible for help along with their dependants.
